1987. The world was waking up to 3-D video games. The first disposable contact lens was also invented. Back home in Chennai, a different kind of revolution was brewing in the real estate market. Like the other inventions, it would make people see homes in a different light.
Ramjee Reddy and Raj Kumar Reddy, a father-son duo set out to make a difference to the real estate market in the city. They were hard-working, efficient, focused and had an eye for the aesthetic. These qualities would not only be reflected in their creations, but would also be imbibed by the company they founded – Vishranthi Homes.
In the years that followed, Vishranthi Homes has dotted Chennai’s landscape with homes and commercial buildings, all of which have one thing in common – they are human-centric. It is the family which stays closely-knit – and the community which coexists – that define living spaces, not market trends. Likewise, the future plans of an organization dictate the design and infrastructural aspects of the commercial space, not what the competition does.
This simple, yet extremely effective philosophy has stood Vishranthi Homes in good stead, both during the changing times and during times when the industry witnessed turbulence. ‘Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication’ is a quote attributed to Leonardo Da Vinci. At Vishranthi Homes, following this credo across design, quality and systems has led to the ISO 9000:2001 by KPMG, making Vishranthi Homes one of the first companies in the construction industry to be bestowed this honour.
Even as they were dreaming of a real estate venture that would make a difference to hundreds of families in Chennai, Ramjee Reddy and his son Raj Kumar Reddy were clear as to what their firm would represent. Their 40-year experience in the industry had offered them great insights into the way ahead. These insights were refined until they came to stand for the vision of Vishranthi Homes.
A look at the six-fold vision statement reveals the singular focus on the individual and the endeavour to offer him better living. As we go ahead on the road to progress, guided by our vision, we realise that our journey is forever – but there’s always time to stop by and make those small changes that can impact mankind positively in a big way!
